Like most small towns, Huntington relies heavily on volunteers for important work in the community. Without volunteers, we'd have no fire department and very little government. If you have time and skills that you're willing to share with your fellow townspeople, there are always opportunities to contribute. Most boards are short-handed and barely able to meet the requirements for the quorum necessary to make decisions. The fire department is always looking for additional readily available members.
